Synopsis
Africa loves fashion, and the least we can say is that she makes creators enthusiastic... For years, haute couture's biggest stars, Yves Saint-Laurent, Marc Jacobs and Jean-Paul Gaulthier, have been inspired by African fabric, materials and patterns...
But how does fashion farde in Africa? How is the sector managed? Is it profitable? Autonomous? And how is this sector, avant-gardist by definition, seen by the majority of the population? Ex top model Noémie Lenoir takes us to the Ivory Coast, Senegal and Cameroon to follow the clothing production line, going from cotton picking through clothing creation itself before finishing up with the International Fashion Festival in Africa and a photo shoot with tomorrow's top models.
