Neanderthal, The Mystery Of The Bruniquel Cave
Synopsis
In an underground cave in the SW of France, speleologists stumbled upon hundreds of broken stalagmites, stacked in piles, forming an enormous circular construction. This circle of stone consisted of numerous stone structures compiled from fragments of uprooted stalagmites. Scattered amongst them were traces of fire... These stone edifices were the work of mankind. Estimated to have been built 176,500 years ago, this is the most ancient man-made creation, below ground, ever found! This discovery revolutionizes our current knowledge of Neanderthal Man.
