Synopsis
The racoon, the Asian tiger mosquito or hogweed: all imported animal and plant species, but that are now fighting with our own native species for the same breeding and feeding grounds. Some are able to completely dominate and alter an entire ecosystem, causing devastating economic damage and even threatening our health — at least that’s what we hear most in the headlines.
But what in fact does our new co-existence with this exotic wildlife mean for our future? This report investigates this question, following these invasive species, the potential dangers they bring and measures being taken to curb this invasion. Because one thing is clear: they are not disappearing anytime soon.
